We’re so excited that Beckett has been matched with the Dominican University Men’s Volleyball Team through Team IMPACT!

Team IMPACT connects children facing serious illness or disability with college athletic teams, creating a supportive team environment and meaningful relationships that extend far beyond sports.

As an official member of the Dominican University Men’s Volleyball Team, Beckett will have the chance to attend practices, games, team activities, and special events while building friendships with his new teammates. We’re incredibly grateful to Team IMPACT and Dominican University for welcoming Beckett into their team and giving him another community to cheer him on.

The flyer includes a photo of Beckett smiling with blonde hair, wearing a yellow basketball uniform, and a Dallas Cowboys star logo. It mentions that Beckett's favorite sport is baseball but he's excited to learn volleyball, he's starting kindergarten, enjoys playing with his big sister Mila, and loves pizza.

We’re so grateful to have Alexis of People Medicine LLC as part of Beckett’s support team. As a Certified Child Life Specialist and certified doula, Alexis helps children and families navigate medical experiences with preparation, play, creativity, and connection.

Alexis works with both Beckett and Mila, finding fun and age-appropriate ways to help them understand and cope with the medical experiences that are part of our family’s life. She has helped Beckett prepare for procedures and treatments—including his monthly IVs—while giving both kids tools to build confidence, express their feelings, and manage anxiety.

She has also connected our family with wonderful resources and additional support, from therapists to special programs and organizations, including a customized, hands-on hospital book created for Beckett through Love From Levi.

We’re incredibly thankful for the care, creativity, and sense of fun Alexis brings to our family.
